After last week's "Dance-a-thon" I thought things would slow down, but boy was a wrong!
I was just trying to figure out how it can be Sunday again and started thinking about all that has been going on.... here is a recap....
Last Sunday - We were done with dance recitals and the soccer tournament, but Anna and I did have a baby shower for my cousin. Did I mention that last week while getting ready for the recitals, I was also trying to finish the shower presents. Here is the results of that endeavor
This week Anna started her summer camp with her BFF from Dance, Little H at Jennifer's Party Pad. There are 15 kids in the camp and everyday is a new "theme". Its only 4 days a week for 3 hours, but it is perfect for keeping her in her routine and keeping up with some of what she learned last year.
Monday afternoon was Anna's team party at Sun Splash!! She had a a great time with her friend's and her Dad (Since he wasn't at any of the recitals he pulled swim party duty!) All the girls got trophies which I thought was pretty cool
On Tuesday and Thursday, Anna had dance team workshop. The girls have to re-audition each year for the team, and workshop is where they learn the audition piece. Workshop overlapped camp, so both days were a little hectic. Since Little H is involved with both, Tuesday I had her and Thursday Anna went with her mom.
Wednesday, I finally found something for Paul! I had been feeling bad that he just gets toted around to Anna's stuff and my errands, so I signed him up for a Little Gym class. He loved it and even picked up a new phrase "I did it" when he landed on his feet after swinging from the bar!
I'll take my camera next week because he is pretty funny on the balance beam :)
Friday B and her kids, me and my kids and little H enjoyed a movie as party of the Harkin's Summer movie program. They show movies that are already out on DVD, but there is something fun about the big screen, and 10 movies for 7$ is a great deal! After the movie we picked up Little H's mom and went to pick out "Audition outfits" for the girls. It was like a giant game of dress up. Another girl from Anna's class was there so we were just passing outfits around. Here is the outfit that Anna selected and her and Little H at the studio:
Auditions were Saturday morning, she made the performance team (yea) and Little H made both the performance team and intro to comp team :)
Oh, BTW through this whole week, I finished 2 nursing capes for my cousin, and R had soccer Tuesday night, Thursday night, Friday night, and today he is in Prescott for another game (which is good since we haven't written out his cards or made the cake!)
So that's what I have been up to - are you as tired as I am??

No. I'm not as tired, but I was. Last week on Monday I told Tom that I was "taking a week off". I finished painting my sewing room on Tuesday, but have yet to do anything to put that room together.
Since declaring that I'd take a week off, I've unpacked a total of ONE box! I've also read two paperback novels off the freebie rack at our Library. I knitted. I cooked (for Father's day) some yummy new stuff and grilled.
Oh yeah, we also found our new furry friends to round out our family... Friday we picked up a kitten at the local Animal Shelter and this morning we went back for our puppy (who wasn't yet available on Friday and so he had to stay at the pound an extra three days.) We are enjoying both of the new little furballs! More about them coming SOON to my blog!
So. It sounds to me like maybe you need to clear your schedule and "take some time off"! Just read, relax, and if you're feeling up to it, stop by the pound for a new pet (just kidding on that last one!) ;)
Suzy :)
