Froggy Bats!

So, one of my friends had what I think is the funniest fabric ever - "froggy bats" on an orange back ground - so over time I managed to procure the fabric and have used it in numerous Halloween themed projects - well last night, I was set to get some prep work done for the "no kids/ Mommy sewing time" and realized that my fabric was still in the washer (wet of course). Disappointed I went down stairs to turn off the lights when, out of the corner of eye, the "froggy bats" were looking at me! Giggling, I opted to take advantage of my time and lack of distractions (IE: kids and husband) and now Paul will have cute Halloween pants!

I just extended the leg length from the easy sew shorts I learned from BC and since I don't have a serger, I did the Straight Seam/ Zig Zag Seam to make it a little more robust. The whole project took less that 40 min, including cutting!I Richard rolled his eyes when I showed him, but it felt good to do something quick and easy that just makes me smile when I look at it! I will finish the elastic and hems when we get a little closer to Halloween since Paul seems to grow overnight!
