It was a bittersweet Thanksgiving with the passing of both my Father-in-Law who had been in Hospice care since the 1st, and of my Uncle Joe who just lived a very hard life.
After much discussion, it was decided that Richard would go to NM for the Mass and Wake, and I would keep the kids here so Anna didn't have to miss her friend's BDay party and the Light Parade Performance... so as if that wasn't going to be tricky enough, lets throw in some heavy rain, oh, and did I mention that Paul has not slept through the night but once since Halloween....but On Saturday, with the help of lots of people to keep me sane, Anna got to go to her party (with her hair pin-curled) and then rushed to her performance. Since I am "team mom" I had to stay the whole time (4pm - until they were done marching) but thankful I have some experience in that role, and was prepared with a DVD player/ movie, extra blankets, lights, batteries etc.... S and A seemed really surprised. The Parade was great, and Anna's team won "Judge's Choice"! In a sign that things were looking up, Anna and her two friends were in the area of the awards being given out, so the 3 little ones where the ones who got to go on stage :)

That night, Paul slept through the night (Yea!) and we enjoyed a nice "Christmas Party" with our friends since both of their families are going out of town.

I know I was super stressed throughout all of this craziness, so thank you to those who helped so much...I appreciate it more than you can know!
And one more possitive- I finished the annual Family Calendar and Christmas Cards and got them ordered so one less thing to worry about!!!

I'm so glad that Anna and her group did well. I know that she's been working hard for a WHOLE YEAR now, just for this Parade! It's very cool that all her hard work has paid off, not just to join the team, but then to win an award AND get to go on-stage to receive it. Whoo-Hoo, Anna!
Suzy :D
