I have determined that it is a lot harder to deal with the oldest child being sick. Anna had a long week last week, her daddy had late games so she wasn't going to bed on time, plus a late dance practice, the photo shoot (which was outside on Thursday) and then the game. Needless to say, she got run down and is now sick. She slept most of yesterday and is back on the couch this morning. The real challenge is balancing taking care of her plus Paul - Oh did I forget to mention that Richard is reffing this weekend 6 hrs each day - its $120 per day, but still, I'm alone. I was trying to cuddle with Anna and Paul was so determined to get between us. Its also hard because he can't understand why she won't play with him, so there has been a lot of crying from both of them.
Also, when the baby is sick, you can watch what you want while you comfort them, when its the oldest, she wants to watch "her" movies, so I got to watch High School Musical 1 and 2 and Shrek 3 yesterday, and she is already asking for a repeat....
Well, someone is screaming for more juice....

It's hard when sleep schedules get altered for a day or two, but a whole week's worth is sure to reak havock upon a body (even mine!)
I guess I'm lucky, because I haven't had too much of the trouble you're describing. When one's sick, the other is usually pretty understanding and they are very good about cuddling one per side.
I did have some trouble with my Baby though when I was watching A & A. There wasn't enough room (especially in the morning) for all four of them... and my Baby would get jealous then, especially when a "real" baby was on HIS Mom's lap!
No matter, when kids are tired and cranky, it's a challenge to keep a positive, happy attitude. Just gotta remember how yucky we feel when we're sick and that they really don't understand what's happening to them.
Best of luck today!
